Last time i left the transmission in the car, which was a little difficult to line up with the transmission (oilpan clearing the crossmember and flexplate clearing the bellhousing) But i was able to leave the driveshaft, cooler lines, shifter cable all attached, loosened the trans mount and placed a jack under the trans (with wood blocking to spread the load).i have a plastic transmission.
