You need the samsung adb driver only if you are developing on windows and want to connect a samsung android device to your development environment over usb I do not believe it will work with other manufactures ron samsung developer relations I have installed it on multiple android phones, just by enabling usb debugging on the phone and connecting it to a computer running android studio
